Itinerary

This is a mountain loop that surrounds Malia. We'll start by climbing up to the first village of Mohos from the asphalt road, where we'll get panoramic views of the north coast. Then we'll visit the water reservoir and the sunken village of Sfedili. The views of the Selena, Dikti, and Psiloritis mountains will stay with us until we reach the next village of Avdou, which offers stunning views of the Ambelos gorge and the home of vultures that always fly above us. The next village is Gonies, which marks the beginning of a steep climb that takes us to the Monastery of Down Kera and Upper Kera village. The last village before the long descent back to Malia is Krasi, where we'll see the 2500-year-old plane tree.
